Draw-Tite Max-Frame Trailer Hitch Installation - 2019 Chrysler Pacifica

Ryan: Hey everybody, Ryan here at etrailer.com. Today on our 2019 Chrysler Pacifica, we're going to be taking a look at and showing you how to install the Draw-Tite Class III Max-Frame trailer hitch receiver. Personally, this is my favorite hitch for Pacifica, as far as appearance goes. That's because it's going to be completely hidden for the most part. The only thing you're going to be able to see is that receiver tube opening. And I also really liked this hitch exposure if you plan on doing some towing that's because it already has a bracket mounted to the hitch. more

Ryan: Hey everybody, Ryan here at etrailer.com. Today on our 2019 Chrysler Pacifica, we're going to be taking a look at and showing you how to install the Curt, Class III, two inch Trailer Hitch receiver. Many of our Pacifica customers plan on using their vans to do a little bit of everything. That's why I really liked this hitch, since it is a Class III and has that two inch by two inch opening the amount of accessories you're going to be able to find that'll work with it is more or less endless. And it's going to have some pretty high weight capacities too. Now, as far as a maximum gross tongue weight rating, that's going to be 400 pounds, the amount of weight pushing down on our hitch. So that's going to be good for those large cargo carriers and those one to four bike racks. more

Hi there Chrysler owners. Today on your 2012 Chrysler Town and Country we're going to be installing etrailer.com's class three two-inch trailer hitch receiver. This is what our hitch is going to look like when it's installed. The cross tube is going to be mostly hidden behind the bumper, so you're really only going to notice the receiver tube at the back here. This a class three two inch by two inch receiver and that's going to be great for all of your towing needs. This means you and your family can put on a bike rack and haul up to four bikes or more, whereas your lighter hitches, not like this one, can only haul a minimal amount of bikes, such as one or two. It's also great for cargo carriers and throwing a ball mount in and hauling a trailer as well.It uses a 5/8" hitch pin and clip. Now one doesn't come included with the hitch, but you can pick one up here at etrailer.com. more

Trailer Hitch Installation - 2013 Chrysler 300 - Curt C12064

Today on our 2013 Chrysler 300, we will be installing the Curt Class II 1-1/4" Receiver Hitch, Part Number C12064. As you can see, a very minimal amount hangs down. The only part you really see is the 1-1/4" receiver right here and the two loops that are easily accessible for our safety chain hooks for our trailer to attach to. It has a nice gloss black powder-coated finish, so it'll be durable and provide us some corrosion residence from the salt and road grim and debris which may come in contact with it. This hitch has a 3,500-pound gross trailer weight reading and a 350-pound max tongue weight rating. You'll want to consult the owner's manual of your Chrysler 300 and go by the numbers that are listed in it. For a few measurements to better assist you in choosing any hitch-mounted accessories such as ball mounts, bike racks, or cargo carriers, you're looking at about 8 1/4" from the ground to the top of the 1 1/4" receiver, and you're looking at about 6" from the center of the 1/2" diameter hitch pin hole out to the far point of the bumper. If you're using this for a non-trailer application, such as using it for a bike rack or a cargo carrier, Curt requires that you use a cargo stabilization strap just to help support some of the load that is being placed on the hitch. more

Trailer Hitch Installation - 2013 Chrysler 300 - Draw-Tite

Today on our 2013 Chrysler 300, we'll be installing the Draw-Tite Class 2 inch and a quarter trailer hitch receiver, part number 36548. Here's what our Draw-Tite hitch looks like installed. As you can see, it's a really clean installation. A very minimal amount is hanging down beneath the vehicle, just the inch and a quarter receiver right here sticking out a little bit underneath the bottom lip of the bumper, but it's still recessed behind the actual edge of the bumper, so it's not something you're going to be walking by and hitting your shin or your knee on. Plate here on the bottom of the hitch gives us a nice, secure mounting location for our safety chains, really easy to get to for you. This hitch has a half-inch diameter pin hole here, so you're going to use that for your hitch pin, your locking device, to secure your ball mount, bike carrier, or cargo rack. Just keep that in mind. This hitch has a 3500-pound max gross trailer weight rating, and a 300-pound max gross tongue weight rating. Now you want to consult the owner's manual of your Chrysler 300 and go by its number listed there. If the vehicle's only rated to tow 3000 pounds, obviously you don't want to go to the 3500 pounds that the hitch is rated for, or you could cause damage to the vehicle. Now for a few measurements to help you in choosing any hitch mounted accessories out there for you, such as ball mounts, bike racks, or cargo carriers, you're looking about six inches from the center of the hitch pin hole, out to the back of the bumper cover, and you're looking about ten inches from the ground to the top of the inch and a quarter Class 2 opening on the hitch. more
